I’ve traveled all over the world and am comfortable in almost any kind of space: from someone’s home, to an amphitheater in Greece, or a military gymnasium. I know that I’ve hit the magic spot when sense that I’m no longer on a stage, but among the audience, and there’s no separation between us.”

Actor, singer, and dancer Hayes trained in ballet, contemporary dance, theater, opera, jazz, and classical music. She has performed for great contemporary directors and composers such as Robert Wilson, Bernice Johnson Reagan, Jane Comfort, and William Parker. Her venues include opera houses, theaters, and jazz clubs all over the world.
